Six Sentence Story: A New Beginning

unnamed (11)

Abigail happily started to draw as Jenny teared up, but this time they were tears of relief as she’d just got a call saying that a a donor had been found and her daughter’s operation was scheduled for Monday.

A few days after the successful surgery, Dr. Bale approached Jenny with some startling news about the donor, as he’d been puzzled by the perfect match and as he delved further, tests showed that Jenny and the donor, Peter, were actually siblings.

A shocked Jenny was sure it was some kind of a mistake, but the doctor insisted that he’d rechecked and arranged a meeting with Peter, who had been equally astonished at the news.

A bewildered Jenny entered the doctor’s office the next day and stopped short at the sight of a man who had her hazel eyes and auburn hair and both stared at each other in stunned silence.

It was an overwhelming couple of weeks as phone calls were made and it was learnt that somehow both were separated as babies and grew up in different orphanages.

After losing her husband in a car crash six months earlier and the fear of losing her only daughter looming over her, now, not only was Abigail recovering strongly, but Jenny also had her twin brother back in her life and was eternally thankful, for just a little while ago she thought her world was falling apart and this sudden miraculous invasion of joy, was beyond comprehension.
