The mountains stood guard and the river lapped gently against the rocks. Darin took in the view of his new home in a new land.
Later, he walked downtown passing a herd of cows along the way. He suddenly grinned and took out his cell phone, stopped by one rather large cow, rested his right elbow on the animal’s rear, stretched out his left arm and was all set to take a selfie when he found himself flying through air, as the animal gave him a vicious kick with his hind legs.
Seeing stars Darin wobbled to his feet, when an amused voice asked him if he was alright, holding out his smashed phone.
This was how Darin met Hanna, got married and on their first anniversary, presented her with a personally caved set of Swiss cows. The first one was covered with vibrant coloured bunches of Edelweiss and Jasmine, her favourite flowers, the second was painted with betel leaves, which Hanna had rubbed gently onto his bruised face, that fateful day they’d met.

Hahahaha! Darin thought the cows were statues and they were alive. Thank goodness something good came out of it – he met his future wife. Wonderful story! Thank you so much for providing our photo prompt this week! I love this photo.

I loved your take! Thank you for giving a background to this wonderful picture. I was wondering what is written on the bull’s ear in Urdu. π
Aww, thank you so much! π It says Pyaray/Dear (though sometimes the true meaning is lost in translation) but I think that’s what they were going for! π
Thank you for translating it… Even Priceless Joy was wondering about it. I told her it is Urdu but I did not know the meaning then. Picture is too good! Thank you:)
