At the first sliver of sunlight, she was out in the fields.

Bathed in the warmth of the rays, the magnificence of the early morning sunrise never failed to awe her.

Six months later when her sight was lost forever, she refused to be separated from her daily ritual and armed with images visible only in memory, she let the rays envelop her.

I loved this S! I always wonder about losing my sight and what I would do, you told it perfectly, its the images her heart remembers! Reading your lines always takes me to a place my heart feels special and loved. Really beautifully written. I wrote about the sunset and you the sunrise, but I think yours described the sun better. Clap! Clap!

Aww thank you so much for your heartfelt comment as always!! ❤ It really means a lot when the reader is touched by the words you’ve written in some small way! Your beautiful sunset too has the power to touch hearts! Many thanks once again! 😊❤

I love her she chose to handle the situation. The refusal to give into understandable depression, brave woman. Great post. 🙂

Ritual can bring calm in life. The reliability, going through the motions, knowing that no matter what, the daily routine can get you through.
