But I want chocolate chips in the loaf! Maggie’s eyes brimmed with tears as Mum tried explaining that Grandma wasn’t allowed to eat any chocolate ingredients.
Christmas morning, they went to visit Grandma in the nursing home and Mum proudly looked on as Maggie handed Grandma the loaf and gave her a hug.
Grandma’s eyes twinkled and with a big smile she pointed to a tray in the corner and with a squeal of delight, Maggie saw a Christmas loaf garnished with chunky chocolate chips!
