After placing the bowl of water nearby, she carefully filled the bird feeder, hobbled back inside, painfully lowered herself into the creaky rocking chair by the window, and waited.
Soon, cheerful chirps filled the air and the old lady’s face crinkled into a smile.
What better way to spend the day, than watching fluttering robins and their pigeon friends, tweeting and cooing their thank yous, for this easiest of blessings man can provide.
They might even chirp a prayer for you, and every prayer is a welcome one, especially for an aged old woman, whose time to meet her Creator has drawn so vividly near.
Nice simple tale 🙂
Thank you! ☺
Oh wow, I SO love this! Love “cheerful chirps”, and the notion that perhaps God’s little creatures might “chirp a prayer”…LOVE all of this, God bless you!
Thank you so much! Well we’re all God’s creatures, so you never know what kind of a connection animals and birds have with Him as well! 😊 God bless you too! ☺
I so agree with you–my first thought was of His beloved sparrows, surely they chirp with Him 🙂
Nice 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
