She really wished she could magically block all the online trolls so no one could get to see their vicious posts.
It felt horrible when lies and propaganda were spread about your country, with abusive words thrown in.
It seemed as if these hateful trolls were everywhere and then she read an article on how governments hire students to deliberately fill the web with such comments.
There was a new kind of war being waged in the digital world they lived in, a war so malicious and vile, that she wanted no part of it.
Sadly, she stayed away as much as possible, but deep down she was sick to the stomach and even furious, to think how easily lies were being spread with no accountability.
She felt sorry for all the spiteful individuals involved in such repulsive acts, how horrible it must be to live with so much malice in your heart, that you’re willingly to spend a good part of your life spitting venom at others.

Relevant piece S. Yes, those online trolls are awful. And we need something in place to control hateful people spouting their venom online. But Isuppose with freedom of speak his being so important, it’s difficult. Yes, I feel sorry for those people too, full of such awful words and hate. I’m sure they’re not happy people who are doing this.
Yes, they’re really despicable and can’t even be reasoned with. Just wish there could be some solution to this mess without infringing on freedom of speech, one shouldn’t be able to abuse this freedom and get away with it…Yeah, it’s ridiculous how at times I’ve seen the same person go on multiple news sites and post the same nasty comment.. what a waste of time and effort, they must really lead miserable lives!
It’s a bullying thing I think. Like many school yard bullies, they have issues of their own — low self-esteem — or they’re just so focused on themselves they don’t care about others.

All there is to do is ignore it which feels so impotent. I feel as you do in your last line and occasionally can rise to my better self and pray they know real peace some day.
Rising above is not easy but that’s all you can do in the face of such ignorance. I’ve tried to reason with some but the amount of hate in their hearts is just beyond belief.
