Song Lyric Sunday: Nindiya Re (Dear Sleep)

A dozen OSTs came to mind for this week’s theme, from How do I live – Trisha Yearwood, to Donna Lewis & Richard Marx – At the Beginning (maybe we can do this theme again after a while! :)). I finally went with this lovely, calming song from the movie Behadd (Endless). It’s not originally in English, but I hopefully managed to get the gist across in the translation. 🙂

Lyrics: Coke Studio

Band: Kaavish

Slow and steady in sheer silence

Enter my beloved baby’s eyes

Oh dear symphony of a good night’s sleep

Come and fill the eyes of my baby

Oh dear symphony of a good night’s sleep

Take my beloved on a trip

To the beautiful moon

And to the dazzling stars

Where fairies will play with him

Oh dear symphony of a good night’s sleep

For Song Lyric Sunday

You can watch the first part of this movie here, with English subtitles! 🙂

Good stuff here. I am always glad to learn of other countries and cultures so this really does broaden my horizons. Thanks for the translation – I like the song a lot.

Thank you! I’m really glad you liked it! Yes! It’s always great to come across posts about different cultures, especially songs (something the international media never or hardly ever focuses on!) Thank you so much for stopping by! 🙂

  2. I enjoyed the song and the lyrics, they were both so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this. I enjoy learning of other cultures and countries as well.

I’m sure we will revisit themes. This one was really broad and I had a few I could have posted as well. 🙂
