Her perfect marriage turned out to be a bruised visage and just when she thought her self-esteem couldn’t get any lower, his vile words and condescending demeanor bore down crushingly upon her.

She fled thankfully to her art classes spending hours painting away her suffering, as her classmate Bobby, recognized her anguish under desperately applied makeup and sad smiles.

He’d tried to approach her a couple of times after their last class ended but she firmly refused to talk about her personal life.

Finally, he left a note in her locker that said: You deserve better, please let me help, ending it with his cell phone number.

One day she simply stopped coming to class and two weeks later her savagely beaten body was found by some campers.

Bobby never forgave himself but made a vow the instant he’d heard the news of her demise; her tormentor and now murderer,Β would pay dearly.

Revenge is so much more frightening to me. Nicely written.

Tragic and extremely sad. Bobby did his best, you can’t help someone who doesn’t want to or is to scared to take your help. I hope Bobby finds a just punishment for her husband, not at the expense of his own freedom or life. Great story:)

  4. oldegg says:

My immediate reaction was the think that the ill advised note may have been seen by the husband! Even attending the Art classes may have sent him on another rage. Being trapped in a situation such as this needs action that is not delayed. Advice is seek help and refuge now!

  5. nice twist on the ending! (I was thinking it would be a lesson that was learned (by Bobby), well done… can’t wait for Six2

  6. I can well understand his desire to effect justice on behalf of the murdered woman. Almost nothing makes me angrier than abusive partners or parents. Sadly, two wrongs don’t make a right. Better that he resolved to do everything he could to help other women avoid the same horrific fate. Powerful story!

Hearing about such cases really makes one furious. You’re absolutely correct, two wrongs don’t make a right and he needs to make sure that anger or revenge doesn’t play a part in his thirst for justice. Thank you so much for reading! 😊

He was clearly concerned for her and tried to help. Hopefully, he will not let his anger cause him to do something that will get him into serious trouble. It is so difficult to know someone needs help, offer it, and they will not accept the help. Great story.
