I believe this is it, Marigold thought happily to herself.
She stopped at the outdoor cafe. A delicate string of daisies adorned the brightly coloured door. Rustic wooden tables with matching chairs, inviting you to come and sit; and so she did.
Smiles, laughs and chattering all around, made every stranger want to be a part of this street.
An old woman walked slowly by, cane in one hand, groceries in the other, but not for long, as a young lad tipped his hat and graciously offered to carry her burden.
Yes, this was it, she could feel it. The perfect town with all the ingredients needed for her magic potion.
A handful of goodwill, a basket of joy, a jar of laughter, a bowl of selflessness, with dollops of determination.
Marigold shuffled her wings under her coat, smiled and sighed. If only humans understood the power they held within them. No amount of magic could even come close.
This is a wonderful story! I love how the angel helps make the town people better and also that she knows that humans have a power within them that is stronger than magic. Love it!
Thank you so much! 🙂
I loved your story! 🙂
So glad you did! 🙂 We all have that untapped power within us! 🙂
I believe that too.
Cute story, love it! Very well written as well 🙂
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it! 🙂
Very cute story. The detail about her shuffling her wings under her cost is good. It’s interesting that to her magic comes from humans not just from her, a fairy. Great writing.
Thank you so much! Yes, that’s exactly what I was going for! Thanks for your comment! 🙂

I love the small town atmosphere you described. We always says say hello upon passing people on our down town streets in Paris, Ontario. There’s nothing finer than living in voted by Chatelaine magazine’s”the prettiest little town in Canada” !
Sounds lovely! You have your own fairy tale town! 🙂
Lovely story! Great how you turned it from realism to fairy tale. I absolutely love the idea that the goodness of humans is much more powerful than any magic 🙂
Thank you so much! You’ve interpreted it perfectly! The goodness within us is indeed a powerful force! 🙂
I love the message that this story sends.
Thank you for reading! 🙂
