Through Time as a Teacher

A teacher for over 10 years! Phew! Time surely did flap its wings fast on this one!

Indubitably I hear myself utter the lines “We weren’t like this… kids these days..!” But I suppose as with everything in life when it comes to change, this was inevitable. This wise saying certainly holds true: “Do not force your children to behave like you, for surely they have been created for a time which is different to your time.” – Imam Ali (a.s). The basics however stay the same, when it comes to manners, respect etc, but the approach used to deal with children, is indeed different for each generation.

This image I found online aptly describes how times have surely taken a turn for the different, though not generalizing of course! 🙂

Memories galore! But the most tangible (and feel-good part about this occupation) ones come from the spontaneous notes that the little kiddies hand out to you, the little notes scribbled on scraps of paper, painstaking drawings, words full of smiles and heart! Here are a bunch I’ve collected and kept safely over time! 🙂

When they try to draw you! 🙂

Additionally, a yummy token of appreciation, especially by the parents is a wonderful feeling!

Here’s to all teachers everywhere, may your patience only continue to grow stronger! That said, I’m certainly savoring my time off! 🙂
