Writing 101, Day 7 – Let Social Media Inspire You

Although we’ve heard similar quotes before, Jinnah’s ending words really hit me. …..but let us part as friends. Yes, at times we do agree to disagree, be it an argument in the workplace or at home, but there’s always that lingering feeling of bitterness and even pure hatred.

When will we humans be courageous enough to follow through? To actually train ourselves, summon all the willpower we have and let it sink in that animosity, hostility, bad blood, hurts only that person himself, eating slowly away on the inside. Is it really worth it?

We aren’t exactly as we’d like to be, so why do we expect others to be? Letting go…what a trial that is! But let go we must.

Have a rational dialogue, present your arguments in a logical manner and if by the end of it the status quo remains, extend your hand and shake on it….until next time….parting as equals and if ego allows, as friends.

I read this post while watching the Presidential debates and it occurred to me that the debates are about probably the most rational conversations we hear from politicians.
