Paint for Me

My Sunday Photo Fiction challenge!

129 11 November 8th 2015

Placid, tranquil, pastoral….the man in the black top-hat emerged from his reverie and moved on. The lady in the red silk dress dutifully took his place. As she descended gently into introspection, I mused once again in awe at the copious thoughts these lovers of art had floating inside them. Each unique, some melancholic, wistful, others audacious and intrepid.

As they gazed at me affixed sturdily upon the wall, admiring my colours and design, brushes and strokes, discerning, reflecting; I was now an astute observer myself, their lives visible in their ruminations. Each thought embracing their past, present and future. They perceived me, as they perceived their existence; Painful, joyful, sorrowful, colourful, harsh, soft…… but most of all, hopeful.

Guilt, chances, loss….the lady in silk sighed soundlessly and I sighed along with her.

    Some lovely descriptions here. 🙂

Some lush, expansive phrasing here. Very dream like. Small grammar crit – “black, top hat” and “red, silk dress” should not have commas i.e. should be “black top hat” and ” red silk dress”. Thanks for sharing.
