Writing 101, Day 2 – Things I Like

A mesh of 20 things/circumstances/people I like.

Getting a genuine greeting by a relative or friend.

Buying useful gifts- And later finding out that they were indeed used by that person.

Not having to prove yourself.

Gatherings where you don’t feel out of place.

Cloudy skies- We get way too much sun all year round!

When I can confidently click ‘Publish’

Seeing strangers help each other.

Kind people with no airs who make you feel comfortable.

Reading – Nothing beats the time you can sit ensconced on a sofa or your bed, with pages                             and pages of your favourite author!

Remembering my Enid Blyton days –  Get overjoyed when I see kids these days reading                                                                                      her! Famous Five, The Faraway Tree…et al!

Books by Georgette Heyer – Just love the dashing heroes in her stories.

Seeing citizens carry out their responsibilities, not because they have to but because they want to make their society/country a better place.

Chocolate Mousse-  Preferably dark chocolate! 🙂

Old TV series, movies and musicals – Knight Rider, Scaramouche, Singing in the Rain                                                                                      (Just an example of each)

Certain kiddie songs like, ‘Time to be Happy’

The feel of all things vintage.

Spicy chips

A new gadget

Waking up at 2 or 3 am and counting the several hours still left to sleep before work.

  1. These are great! I especially like this one:

When I can confidently click ‘Publish’

Thanks! 🙂 Gosh, yes, that’s quite a ‘To click or not to click’ moment, so I just love the times I’m absolutely sure of myself and feel confident enough to immediately click it! 🙂

  2. Okay, drop the cloudy skies, Chocolate mousse, and the spicy part of any kind of food and I’m game for the rest 🙂 oh, and move the reading out by the lake on a 73 degree day.

Haha! Cloudy skies for us is perfect beach weather! 🙂 Everyone’s in a good mood when the sun finally decides to take some time off! …Ooh spicy food! Nando’s Peri Peri bites! … Reading by the lake for sure! Though 22 deg C is wintry weather for us but it’s something we look forward to! 🙂

A nice hot shower on a cold day. Fleece blankets. Chicken coconut curry. Listening to The Moth on a quiet Saturday afternoon.
